The Final Stretch

Deadlines....deadlines...ugh...So when you lay out deadlines in architecture school the rule is to multiply the amount of hours you THINK it's going to take by at least two or three. I make a habit of just adding a zero on the end. We're told to make a timeline for ourselves and really stick to it as a reference for deadlines, but it's soooo difficult and it's nearly impossible to get things done perfectly on time with so many adjustments needing to be made all the time. So here is my 'timeline' for my deadlines to get me to the final review.

Tues 8

1. finalize col support (elevation/plan)
2. insert railings
3. adjust glazing (two schemes)
4. finalize wall section detail
   

Wed 9

1. review w/prof & make any adjustments
2. review big site model in class
3. finalize glazing design
4. create glazing lasercut CAD DWG
   

Thur 10

1. adjust glazing CAD (review)
2. finalize glazing design
3. create glazing lasercut CAD DWG
4. mock-up for 1/8" model (clearing)
   

Fri 11

1. horizontal study CAD DWG
   
2. vertical study CAD DWG
   
3. mock-up for 1/8" model

Sat 12

1. mock up for 1/8" model
2. decide on either horizontal vs. vertical
3. plans for the exhibition areas
   

Sun 13

1. mock up for 1/8" model
2. plans for the exhibition areas
   

Mon 14

1. plans for the exhibition areas
2. 1/8" model mock-up review
   

Tues 15

1. plans for the exhibition areas
2. start work on final model
3. start work on final cutaway model
   

Wed 16
